Carroll Shelby Miniseries




Earlier this week the auto industry lost a very important person, now one cable TV channel has taken the time to create a miniseries devoted to the life of Carroll Shelby. He was a farmer, car dealer, Le Mans winner, sports-car maker, businessman and tuner, Carroll Shelby did it all. To help tell his story the cable network Velocity is airing a three-hour, three-part miniseries starting on Sunday, May 20th. The miniseries will we called "King of the Road: Carroll Shelby," and each episode will showcase and era of his life. The whole series captures his journey from Texas to Le Mans. We even get to witness him build the Cobra, partners with Ford and eventually create the Ford Shelby GT500. So tune in and learn about one of the Auto industries most influential and successful people!

The next generation of Ford Mustangs isn't that far away, just in 2015. But, until then many will speculate and draw up their own versions of what the new Mustang could look like. The image above is the result of Inside Line's idea. They believe that the new Mustang will come from the Evos concept and would consider this to look like the next generation American muscle car!

The Future Looks of the Mustang



Could this be the future looks of the Ford Mustang? Looks like it might be! This 2014 model which will be labeled as 2015 will look like the Evos concept and may keep some of its retro flare. As we wait to find out we can hopefully get a good idea about the Mustangs future in this photo!

A Lighter Mustang in the Future?



Ford is trying to get the the science right for a lighter Mustang! The company has teamed up with Dow Chemical to develop carbon fiber that can be manufactured at an affordable price and that could help in weight-reduction. The picture above is a limited-production car at SEMA back in 2009. Ultimately, a lighter Ford will mean fuel economy improvements and 750 pounds off its regular weight.

Another Customized Pony!



If you love super powerful and customized Mustangs, then you'll love this one by Roush. Roush just created this top of the line powerful pony and it will blow you away. This silver muscle car is a Stage 3 Roush Mustang with a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 with 565 hp and 505 pound-feet of torque. It also sports 18 inch aluminum wheels with an upgraded suspension and different brake packages. But if all this?

Shelby 1000 Makes it to the Big City!




This is the 2012 Shelby 1000! This muscle coupe comes in either 950 hp or 1100 hp and it looks like this type of power will be rare. Shelby President John Luft says that only 100 of these will be built. This good looking and powerful Ford Mustang will have a starting price close to $200,000. So get your name on the waiting list, because there are already about 30 people ahead of you.


Next week at the New York Auto Show we will finally get to meet the 2012 Shelby 1000. Its name comes from this Mustangs horsepower figure. The street trim gets around 950 hp and the S/C track version get about 1,100 hp. The Shelby also gets a new suspension, bigger brakes and a single piece driveshaft. Keep your eyes peeled for this one next week at the New York Auto Show!
